The Badminton Federation of Macau (BFM) had embarked on a development programme to upgrade their local umpires by having an English course for umpires in both basic and intermediate level. This is to prepare the umpires for future upgrading to the continental, and subsequently to the world levels. The 6 days course is from 6th to 8th July and 27th to 20th July at the Kiang Wu Nursing College and was conducted by Mr Lei Mingji (BWF Referee) and Professor Zheng Sanliang (BAC Umpire). The course involves theoretical and practical assessment. The first step after this course is to have all umpiring to be officiated in English for all BFM organized events.
