    In 2008, the first local event-"Macau Badminton Local Open 2008" host on 25th to 29th March at Nave Desportiva Dos Jogos Da Ásia Oriental De Macau-Arena.
    The champions of five events are: Men's Single-Lam Chi Man(Hou Kong), Women's Single-Mak Ka Lei(Macaenses), Men's Doubles-Lam Chi Man/Leong Kin Fai(Hou Kong), Women's Doubles-Lei Sao Chi/Pun U Wa(Cheong Ieon) and Mixed Doubles-Lam Chi Man/Io Chao Leng(Hou Kong).
