The recently concluded biannual 2007 Arafura Games which was held from 9th to 17th May in Darwin, the capital of Australia's Northern Territory. Macau Badminton Association had sent a delegation of 8 persons, comprising of 1 team manager(Ms. Sabina Kuan), 1 coach(Mr. Zhou Kejian) and 6 players(Lo Ion Weng, Chan Io Chong, Leong Kin Fai, Long Ying, Mak Ka Lei & Lei Sao Chi).

The team is part of the Macau's contingents sent by the Macau Sports Development Board in the particpation of the Games. It was a success story for the badminton contingent where the team managed to grab 5 golds, 2 silvers, 3 bronzes. Team Event-Gold, Men's Singles-Gold(Chan Io Chong), Women's Singles-Gold(Long Ying), Women's Singles-Silver(Lei Sao Chi), Men's Doubles-Bronze(Lo Ion Weng/Northern Terriority), Women's Doubles-Gold(Long Ying/Mak Ka Lei), Bronze(Lei Sao Chi/New Caledonia), Mixed Doubles-Gold, Sliver and Bronze(Chan Io Chong/Long Ying, Leong Kin Fai/Lei Sao Chi, Lo Ion Weng/Mak Ka Lei).
