The recently concluded Cheers Asian Satellite Badminton Championships 2007 which was held from 30th May to 2nd June at the infamous Singapore Badminton Hall. The Macau Badminton Association has sent a delegation of 10 person consisting 6 men’s players, 3 women players and a manager, with representation in all of the 5 individual events at stake. Although the players did not win any medals in this championship, the performance of the young players can be well commended with close fights in most of the matches against well established badminton nations such as Malaysia & Singapore. The association’s head coach, Zhou Kejian were happy with his players improvement in their game, and said that this is another great encouragement to the badminton community in Macau, after the successful medal haul in the Arafura Games 2007 last month.
