The Reykjavik International Children’s Games 2007 was held from 20th to 25th June in the northwestern Europe country, Iceland. Badminton was one of the events contested and the Badminton Federation of Macau had a team of 5, comprising of one coach(Zhou Kejian) and four players (Cheang Wai Lok, Albertino Filipe Jorge de Assis, Albertina Eugenia de Assis, Fong Soi Cheng) at the games, and was a part of the Macau Sports Development Board’s delegation. The badminton events comprises of Team and Individual, where each were played in 2 stages, round robin & knock out stage. The badminton squad managed to haul one bronze medal in the boys’ doubles individual event through Albertino De Assis and Cheang Wai Lok pair.
